One particular where the entire three generation actors have a drink is hilarious, and has been conceptualized perfectly. The concept, execution and the way the entire movie has been handled is supremely brilliant. Every frame of Manam, is just a celebration. Why is Chaitanya shocked ? This time it is a shock for Chaitanya, who sees Nageswara Rao and Anjali together. On the other hand, one fine day, Nageswara Rao accidentally helps an old man Chaitanya(ANR) and also meets Anjali(Shriya) in the hospital. This immediately reminds him of his parents, and he then plans to develop love between the young couple and get them married. One fine day, Nageswara Rao gets the shock of his life, when he meets Nagarjuna(Naga Chaitanya) and Priya(Samanta). The small kid, Bittu grows on to become a rich and successful business man in Nageswara Rao(Nagarjuana). After a few days of problems in their marriage, the couple dies in a car accident. Even some cinematic clichés are sugar coated with feel good factor and then you can't help but to appreciate and enjoy. Background score and Prema Prema song are excellent. Cinematography was neat and clean but the color tones should have been changed accordingly to bring the contemporary look to the varied time periods. Vikram Kumar has a classic taste in direction and i want to see his work more in the future. Interval and Climax were its strongest points. So we have to wait till the interval for the main proceedings to happen. Some comedy scenes in first half should have been chopped to move forward to the plot point as fast as it can. ANR has less screen time but he did enough justice even at that age. Samantha looked more comfortable out of them all. Performances were decent but nothing outstanding. When time and misfortune separates, love and re-incarnation brings and ties them together. A story that fits only to Akkineni family and a film that only looks plausible with Telugu viewers.
